Beta Theta Pi

This Saturday at 2 p.m. Beta Theta Pi will be hosting a soapbox derby to raise money for their local philanthropy, St. Vincent's Home for Children.  St. Vincent's is a foster home located in North St. Louis County, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to St. Vincent's.  Our goal is to

raise $2,500 this year.

The event will take place on the astroturf next to the Grand Forest apartments and should last about two hours.  There will be free food and live music to entertain all who show up.

Relay for Life

Relay For Life of Saint Louis University will be holding its first information meeting on Nov. 10. Anyone and everyone interested in this year's event should come out and learn more about Relay.

The event will be held in DuBourg 157 at 8 pm and pizza will be provided. All teams who sign up by December will earn VIP status.

Philosophy Club

The Philosophy Club will be holding the fourth annual disputed question on Nov 14 at 7 p.m. in the AB Auditorium. The question is: "Are the virtues sufficient for happiness?" Dr. Charron will be providing the magisterial response.

Atlantic 10 Shootout

The Atlantic 10 Shootout will be Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. in the Simon Recreation Center. Enter to win $10,000 and a new Pontiac Torrent. Register now @ www.Atlantic10.org/shootout.

Kathy Kelly

Kathy Kelly will be speaking on Monday, Nov. 7.  Kathy Kelly has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times and is the co-founder of Voices in the Wilderness. She will be speaking at 7 p.m. in the Anheuser-Busch Auditorium of the John Cook Business School.  Her talk is entitled "Occupation Theology and Faith Based Resistance."  Co-sponsored by: Great Issues, Doerr Center for Social Justice and Pax Christi.
