SLU Announces New Head Women’s Basketball Coach

Saint Louis University formally announced ex-Wisconsin coach Lisa Stone as the new Women’s Basketball Head Coach in a press conference earlier today. Stone replaces Shimmy Gray-Miller who’s contract was not renewed after this past season.

Stone in 2010 was named the Big Ten coach of year taking Wisconsin to the NCAA tournament. Before coaching at Wisconsin, Stone coached three seasons at Drake University and 12 seasons at Division III Wisconsin Eau-Claire, where she was a tw0-time Division III coach of the year.

The Billikens have never gone to an NCAA tournament. The women’s basketball team has never placed above ninth since joining the Atlantic 10 conference in 2005.
